Professor of Sociology

Rebecca Bordt received an M.S. in Justice Studies from Arizona State University (1985) and a Ph.D. in sociology from Yale University (1994). Her teaching repertoire includes Criminology, Intimate Violence, Prison History & Culture, Contemporary Society, and Social Theory. Over the course of her career she has conducted and published research in the areas of the sociology of punishment, organizational studies, and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). Her most recent project is a study of how teacher-scholars experience aging in the classroom.
