Statement on Scholarly or Artistic Work 

Humberto Barreto is Professor of Business Analytics at 69É«ÇéÊÓÆµ. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Professor Barreto has lectured around the world on teaching economics with computer-based methods, including Cuba, Brazil, Canada, Scotland, Spain, Poland, India, Myanmar, Japan, and Taiwan. He was a Fulbright Scholar in the Dominican Republic and has taught National Science Foundation (NSF) Chautauqua short courses using simulation. He has received several research and teaching awards. His book, The Entrepreneur in Microeconomic Theory, was translated into Arabic in 1999. He has written numerous articles and books on using Excel to teach economics–including introductory level material, micro, macro and econometrics. His most recent book, Gateway to Business Analytics, is an open-access textbook for an introductory course in business analytics.
