To help you build a well-balanced schedule, DePauw uses a course request process in which you list choices for eight First-Year Seminars and 10-15 regular courses you are most interested in taking. Your fall schedule is then built from these requests.
Course requests typically open from mid-May through mid-July and are not first come, first-served. Rather, we collect all requests during this period of time; once the request period closes, the Office of the Registrar will build your schedule, which will be available in late July. If needed, adjustments to your schedule may be made in consultation with your faculty advisor during New Student Orientation in August.
To make the most of your course requests, review the Academic Life webpage for a list of seminars (FYS) and courses available to first-years, AP/IB and dual enrollment advanced placement information, graduation requirements and .
